One Day Hand-Building Taster Workshop

Creative introductory workshop where you’ll get a great foundation in versatile skills.

This class is a great introduction to working with clay. It covers two main hand-building techniques, coiling and press moulding, to make a mug and a bowl or plant pot. You’ll also learn several surface design techniques including sgraffito, stamps, carving, and paper resist. Paper resist is the method I use to illustrate my ceramics so you will be able to see how that works and try it out. All work is then fired, glazed and ready to be collected from the studio after two weeks.
Details: 10am-4pm, Studio 304, South Block Studios, G1 5QH, £70pp including all materials and firings to book.
Dates: Saturday March 10th or Sunday March 11th
If you cancel for any reason within 7 days of the class starting (4th/5th March) the cost will not be refunded. If you cancel before this you will be entitled to a full refund.

One-to-One Lesson on the Potter’s Wheel

Intensive two hour session to improve throwing skills and build confidence on the wheel

I specialise in wheel-throwing and my ceramics are all made on the wheel so I know it takes a lot of practice and patience to build up your skills. It is hard to find places to practice and pottery wheels are expensive so I am now offering two-hour one-on-one lessons to people who either want a supportive first try with expert guidance, or those who have experience of wheel throwing and want to hone their skills. The session can be completely tailored to any skill level and will focus on the areas you want to improve.

Details: Times are flexible and I have availability from the 7th-14th March. Studio 304, South Block Studios, G1 5QH. £70 to book, including all materials and firings.
If you cancel for any reason within 7 days of the class starting the cost will not be refunded. If you cancel before this you will be entitled to a full refund.
